Grand Openings/Customer Appreciations & Onboarding Programs

Onboarding kits are sent to new-to-CITGO locations; they include items ranging from marketing materials and POP to exclusive offers and credit card materials. Event kits include a selection of banners, buttons, coupon sheets, flyers, posters, pump toppers and more.

Many materials can be customized and printed on demand for branded locations to promote grand openings, daily specials, events and more.

Enrollment:

Welcome Kit - Ships automatically when location reaches approval (A) status.
 
Conversion Kit - Ships within 30 days once a location reaches branded (B) status.
 
Opening Kit - Ships when location reaches complete (C) status.
 
Grand Opening and Customer Appreciation Kits - Ships upon request when location reaches completed (C) status.

Spirit Pump

Fundraiser to support local schools and charitable organizations through a set cents-per-gallon commitment at a designated pump. Marketing materials (pump skirt and valance decals, pump toppers, etc.) and local PR support provided.

Minimum POS Standards

Oct. 17, 2020 EMV Fuel Dispenser Deadline

In addition to meeting PCI-DSS requirements, locations must also meet these minimum POS standards.

  • Requirements
    The following are required for all CITGO locations:
  • EMV-compliant inside POS equipment (hardware, software and PIN Pads)
  • EMV software upgrades installed within 90 days of availability
  • Internet/broadband for EMV card processing (except Vx520 using dial-up)
  • Installation and use of a firewall from a CITGO-authorized firewall provider
  • Updated software and firmware in PIN Pads and at fuel dispensers for future CITGO Rewards® Card rollback
  • Certified POS Systems*
    The POS systems listed below are CITGO-certified and meet minimum POS standards.
  • Verifone Commander or RubyCi with Mx915 or Mx925 PIN Pads
  • Gilbarco Passport PX 60 with EMV-capable EDH and Mx915 PIN Pad
  • Wayne (NAMOS software capable with Fusion 6000 and Mx915 PIN Pad
  • Verifone Vx520 with Vx805 PIN Pad
  • NCR Radiant RPOS Epsilon with EPC4, Panther Fuel Controller and Mx915 PIN Pad
